Gambling Awards are Getting More Interesting Every Day!

We don’t yet have the Hollywood presentation of the Oscars for gambling awards, but that will probably come in the near future. There are general awards, such as the “Webbies," which are granted in San Francisco every year. But there are no specific gambling awards that are being given as prizes for the ‘best gambling site,’ for example. But there are gambling awards that are granted to the professional or frequent online gambler, and they’re getting more interested all the time.

One of the most interesting gambling awards combines online and offline gambling. Many of the big casinos are offering some online gambling in order to support their brand and increase the number of loyal customers. As a result of their efforts, there are now tie-ins between the online and the bricks and mortar casinos, which award people points good for travel to the bricks and mortar casino.

There are also other online gambling awards which are associated with casinos. Although it may not be legal in the US for US-based casinos to offer cash awards, they can offer in-kind awards that have the same effect. These ‘tie-ins’ can be associated with loyalty programs or land sales schemes or even time sharing, which is the sale of one or two weeks’ stay at a particular place that may be associated with the land sales portion of the casino. This combined tie-in offer is quite common in the west of the United States, particularly in Laughlin, Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada, where land is plentiful and there’s a good deal of profit to be made by these sales.

Online gambling awards for casinos outside of the United States can be even more interesting That is because online casinos make a lot more money per player or per dollar played than their bricks and mortar confreres, and can therefore make more interesting gambling awards than others. As a result, you might find trips to Hong Kong or Macau for those playing in countries where online gambling awards are allowed, such as Tuvalu or Tahiti or American Samoa (I’m not sure about the last one mentioned, but they have much more lax law enforcement than other parts of the United States).

So what is one to do if one wants to obtain online gambling awards? Easy, go online and look for the ‘come-on’ offers by each of the online casinos!
